I got my salesperson license and joined the 307 Real Estate team back in 2020. As a Cody native, it has been an honor to work for a locally-owned hometown brokerage that prides itself on really loving this great state. It has also been a privilege working with and learning from so many amazing agents, and I have found the relationship-building side of my work to be the most rewarding thus far. My clients have become dear friends, and I have enjoyed being a part of their selling and buying journeys. As an agent, good client service is my top priority, which I strive to accomplish through patience, kindness, good business sense, clear communication, a willingness to teach, and an openness to learn. In order to take my knowledge and expertise one step further, I am currently working on my Associate Broker's License.
In 2009, I graduated from James Madison College at Michigan State University with a B.A. in Social Relations and Policy and a minor equivalent in German. Before working in real estate, I was a Cody school special education para-educator at the elementary level, I taught preschool, I served on multiple boards in various officer roles, I worked as a legal assistant, and I concurrently spent many years working in retail and customer service-based jobs. However, the bulk of my time was spent being a stay-at-home parent to our two girls, Daisy and Willa, who are now 8 and 6. My husband Gabe, also a Cody kid, works remotely and is best known locally for his epic golf game. Outside of work, I love to mountain bike, volunteer at my girls' school, mentor for the Little Bellas girls mountain biking program, attend the annual Burning Man event, travel, and spend time with the fam and our two dachshunds.
To any prospective home buyers: I highly recommend Melissa Maier. I recently purchased a home in Cody and my experience could not have been any easier and more pleasant than it was with Melissa as my realtor and representative. As a buyer that did not live in the area, Melissa was willing and able to do many things to make my tasks and duties in the process very easy. I cannot say enough good things about what she did and how I was treated. If I ever sell my place there is only one person I will go to ... Melissa Maier!
We found Melissa Maier to be an outstanding realtor, and we have dealt with many realtors through the years in our construction business. We truly had not come across a realtor as thorough and professional as Melissa. She went the extra mile in every step of the home-buying process. Since we were coming from a different state, she was extremely valuable to us. We see her as a dear friend now and we highly recommend Melissa for your agent.
Melissa was the best we could have asked for. My husband and I were looking to move to Cody and were visiting town for just 48 hours. We randomly walked into Melissa's office, introduced ourselves, and asked to see what was available. She dropped what she was doing, helped us find a few options, and set up a viewing. The next day we were putting an offer on our house. Throughout the process, she went out of her way to accommodate us as we were out of state. She was attentive to details, kept us informed without us asking, and even provided personal references for local businesses in town that we inquired about. Melissa made every step of our purchase painless even though we were 9 hours away. We would highly recommend her to ANYONE looking to buy a home even if you have a unique situation.
