In the wake of COVID-19, we at 307 Real Estate have continued to notice an uptick in out-of-staters looking at relocating to the great state of Wyoming. We have discussed this trend in our previous posts and blog entries about Wyoming as a whole, but today, we wanted to feature the town of Sheridan, Wyoming.
307 agent J.R. Moore has said that the real estate market in Sheridan has been on fire as people look to come to Wyoming for a better quality of life. There is no indication that this uptick in new arrivals and inquiries is set to slow any time soon, so why not take a few minutes to read a little more about what people love so much about Sheridan?
Sheridan is the ultimate mix of the great western culture and hospitality and a newer entrepreneurial energy that cannot be missed. As home to just under 18,000 people, Sheridan is actually one of the lower points in Wyoming at an elevation of about 3,700 feet. The town ranks number 1 in the state as the most livable town, and like the rest of Wyoming, has no state corporate income tax, no state personal income tax, and no estate tax.
No 307 blog would be complete without some fun facts, so here are a few about Sheridan:
Sheridan has been the recipient of many awards over the years including (but not limited to):
2020 Best Place to Live Like an Old West Cowboy (True West Magazine)
2020 #2 Best Place to Live in Wyoming (Homesnacks)
2020 Top Ten True Western Town (#7) (True west Magazine)
2020 Best of the Rockies: Mountain town (Elevation Outdoors Magazine)
2020 #4 Best Small-Town Cultural Scene (USA Today 10Best)
2019 City Cultural Diversity Award (#1) (NLC)
Sheridan has access to outdoor activities galore. Nestled at the base of the Bighorn Mountains, it is hard to avoid heading off for the weekend to hike, camp, fish, explore, ski – or do whatever suits your fancy!
It is hard to mention all of the great aspects of Sheridan in this blog that make it such a wonderful place to live. Few Wyoming towns offer the balance of peaceful western life and vibrant culture and community like Sheridan does.
Interested in knowing if it could be the place for you and your family, you can take a look at all of our Sheridan listings on our website at https://weare307.com/sheridan-wy-real-estate/ or call J.R. Moore at 307.673.2865. We look forward to showing you our favorite state!
