“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.”
– George Bernard Shaw
As you can probably guess, the ability to communicate and follow-up effectively is important in just about every line of work, and communication in the real estate industry is no different. At 307 Real Estate, we would actually argue that communication and follow-up are even more important in our industry. As someone who is buying or selling a property, it is imperative that you have confidence that you can reach your real estate agent when you need to! When that dream property pops up online, you need to know that you can call, text, or email your agent and that he or she will get back to you as soon as possible. That open line of communication is key.
So why do we value communication and follow-up so much?
Real estate can move quickly: You need to be able to trust that we will answer your call on the first ring (or as quickly as we can). You need to be confident that you have an open line of communication with your real estate agent so that you can jump on seeing that great listing you just spotted or so you can get people in to look at your listing the day it goes up.
Real estate deals can require persistence: Persistence requires a lot of communication and a lot of follow-up. What may seem like overkill to you is completely normal to us. We work for our clients and will make as many calls or send as many emails as we need to throughout the real estate process to get the best possible outcome for you.
Some agents don’t call you back: Have you ever heard the phrase “the fortune is in the follow-up?” Well we have, and we believe in it wholeheartedly. We aren’t actually talking about “fortune” for an agent but about fortune for our clients. The faster we call you back, the more quickly we can show you the dream house you saw online and get you and your family moving in as soon as possible. The best fortune that we as agents can receive is seeing you in the house of your dreams. Without following up and communicating diligently with our clients, that wouldn’t happen!
We communication with our clients and within our 307 Real Estate team: As we mentioned before, when you work with one real estate agent at 307, you are actually getting the resources of our entire agency. Our agents are always sharing their knowledge and best practices with each other, and they put that 100+ years of combined experience to work for you.
To get a little more insight into how some of our agents view the importance of communication and follow-up with their clients, we asked Casey and Mark over in our Buffalo, Wyoming office for their points of view.

“In 20+ years of being in business for myself, the single biggest challenge with people communicating effectively is that people, in general, are afraid to have the tough conversations. I personally believe addressing issues and challenges up front, immediately, which gives freedom to both sides. My best advice is don’t procrastinate. You want people to respect you for your professionalism, even if they don’t like the information”. – Mark Wilson
Communication is vital to the real estate world. We are here to help people navigate through the transaction, there are strict timelines and sensitive information that need relayed. My goal is to always be available via phone, text or email to keep the communication line open. – Casey Pierson
Even their reviews speak to how seriously they take communicating with clients:
“Casey of 307 Real Estate in Buffalo is wonderful to work with. She is readily available and consistently asks question to help her determine the needs of her clients. Would recommend her as an agent to anyone looking in the Buffalo Area.”
“Awesome realtor. [Mark] is always so helpful and answers all questions and gives more information than any other realtor I have had the opportunity to deal with. Great business to deal with whether buying or selling property.”
